Ardkinglas House and Estate

Situated on the shores of Loch Fyne, against a spectacular background of rugged mountains and ancient forest, Ardkinglas House is an architectural gem. Still occupied as a family home it has remained unchanged for 100 years. The 12,000 acres of Ardkinglas Estate provides many attractions to visitors. Ardkinglas Woodland Garden, with an outstanding collection of plants and trees, is open all the year round, covering 25 acres of hillside above the tumbling waters of the River Kinglas. From April to October, it is possible to book a private tour of the house or take a guided walk on the estate.

The House and Grounds provide a secluded venue for weddings and corporate hospitality within easy reach of central Scotland. The true atmosphere of this magical place can be experienced by a stay in the Butlers Quarters, a unique self catering holiday apartment within Ardkinglas House.

Clachan, at the head of the loch, is home to Ardkinglas's Tree Shop and Cafe and to Loch Fyne Oysters' restaurant, smokery and shop and other community facilties; definitely not to be missed!
