The Butler’s Quarters is a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor of Ardkinglas House suitable for up to five people. Although newly equipped the layout and interior finishes are essentially unchanged from a hundred years ago when the rooms were occupied by the butler and other male staff.

The apartment is on the garden side of the house, offering peace & quiet and the opportunity to walk directly from your door straight into the remarkable eighteenth century garden to the north of the house. Some garden furniture is provided, where you can sit and enjoy the open view down the length of Loch Fyne.

You will be given free entry to the Ardkinglas Woodland Garden during your stay. From the house you can also walk down the unspoiled east side of Loch Fyne. For information on hill climbing and other walks in the area see Access and Walks.

In addition to plenty to see and do, see our links pages, there are also many excellent restaurants within easy reach, including the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, the George Hotel, the Creggan’s Inn and Invercottage.
