Ardkinglas offers many varied types of walks, from a few hundred meters within the woodland garden to a strenuous climb up remote peaks, with many opportunities inbetween. Our facilities include car parks, cycle racks, bridges and new paths. We also arrange guided walks which take place most Friday afternoons. Please contact the Estate Office for more information.
East side of Loch Fyne - Easy walking around the woodland garden (entry fee applies) including a visit to an old water mill and way-marked walks though the policy woodlands overlooking Loch Fyne.
Head of Loch Fyne - Access to Beinn Bhuidhe 948m. Please leave your vehicles in the walkers' car park at the head of the loch. There is no vehicular access in the glen. You are welcome to ride your bike up to the last gate where there is a bike rack. If you don’t want to do a Munro just go for an easy walk on the glen road and perhaps visit the brewery.
West side of Loch Fyne - Behind the Tree Shop and Loch Fyne Oysters are a number of walks: Up the hill to a view point, along to the Tree Platform which has been built in an old ash tree or a longer way-marked walk south through native oak woodland overlooking Loch Fyne.
Picnic lunches are available from the Tree Shop Café. Local maps and brochures available from the Here We Are centre.
