Where we are
By Car:
From the South: 1 hour drive from Glasgow, by Loch Lomond-side (A82) to Tarbet, then take the A83 to Arrochar and continue along the A83 for 10 miles to Cairndow. Take the signposted cut off for Cairndow and access to the Estate Woodland Garden is on the left just before Kilmorich Church.
Alternatively, from the North: From Oban, Dalmally, Fort William, etc, take the A85, and just outside Dalmally, the A819 will take you to Inveraray. At the junction of the A819 with the A82 turn left, Cairndow is about 10 miles away. Turn right off the main road for the village.
By Train:
Trains leave from Glasgow Queen Street, Fort William or Oban. You alight at Arrochar or Tarbet stations. There is a timetabled bus service which will bring you from the train stations to Cairndow.
By Bus:
The bus leaves from Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station and stops at Cairndow Village road end - see map above.
By Air:
From Glasgow Airport, travel west on the M8 motorway. Take the Erskine bridge and then take the A82 north to Tarbet, signposted Crianlarich. Then as above when travelling from the south.
